Many leaks about the Motorola Razr Plus (2024) have been going around, so we expect it to be unveiled around June. Considering what we’ve heard, the next Motorola flagship flip phone will likely be the company’s highest-end foldable phone.
The rumor is we’re going to see an upgrade to the chipset and a higher memory/storage combo this year. However, that’s not the most important news! The Razr Plus 2024 edition packs two new rear cameras as well!
Note that Motorola’s Razr Plus foldable will only be marketed under that moniker in the United States.

Steven Hemmerstoffer, a leaker known for his historically accurate leaks, predicts that the Motorola Razr Plus 2024 will arrive in June.
How much did the Motorola RAZR cost when it first came out?
As predicted by the leaker, the new phone’s price will begin at $999 for a model equipped with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Even with the addition of 4GB of RAM, the price will remain the same as the current model.
Motorola Razr Plus 2024: Design
The 2023 Motorola Razr is a beautiful design, so it’s perhaps not surprising that the changes will be limited, as seen in these images.
As with last year, the display is 6.9 inches, and the exterior panel is 3.6 inches. Despite the larger screen size, we expect the internal display to maintain the same resolution of 2,640 x 1,080 and the external panel to keep the same resolution of 1,066 x 1,056.
There’s one thing you can’t see, though. Leaks say the phone will go from IP52 to IPX8 for improved water resistance. It is a double-edged blade because it offers superior water resistance (2 to 8) but unrated dust resistance (5 to X).
Among the things you can see is the handset’s color. A Motorola Razr Plus 2024 is rumored to be available in Midnight Blue, Spring Green, or Hot Pink, with multiple colors.
Motorola Razr Plus: Performance
There appear to be a few key upgrades to the Razr Plus 2024’s core specs. This handset is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, accompanied by 12GB of RAM, considerably more than the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 with 8GB of memory.
Foldable with clamshell flips tend to have short battery lifetimes, though the Razr Plus, with its 3,800mAh battery, managed ten hours and nine minutes in our tests.
According to reports, this year’s version gets a 200mAh boost to 4,000mAh. When coupled with the improvement in efficiency provided by the new chipset, this should result in most users being able to extend the use of their devices for an additional couple of hours per day.
Motorola Razr Plus 2024: Cameras
A major upgrade is expected to be made to the camera system. The camera system featured a 12MP primary sensor and a 13MP ultra-wide lens (also capable of taking macro shots) on last year’s model.
A dual 50MP sensor will be featured in the 2024 version, but an optical zoom sensor will replace the ultra-wide lens. Compared to an ultra-wide lens, that sounds far more useful, and the megapixel increase should also allow for increased detail.
As with Google’s and Samsung’s phones, the Razr Plus 2024 seems to include “AI-powered photo and video editing.”
Front cameras won’t undergo any changes. With a 32MP camera inside, that shouldn’t disappoint – especially with a clamshell design that makes using the external camera for selfies so easy.
