2024 Tesla Model 3 Review Overview

Today, Tesla remains the undisputed leader in the electric vehicle industry. It is often the case when you help popularize the idea that electric vehicles are not horrible. Recent years have seen Tesla’s Model 3 play a large role in this dominance.

Tesla’s Model 3 is still the company’s cheapest car, but we’re not comfortable labeling it entry-level. Recently, the entry-level price of the car has dropped back to $42,990. In addition to the $7,500 federal tax credit, this car is also eligible for the state tax credit.

Tesla Model 3 continues to be one of the best electric cars available today. Here is a detailed Tesla Model 3 car review to give you complete information about the Tesla Model 3.

Tesla Model 3: Release, Pricing, and Trim Levels

Tesla Model 3 cars are on sale right now, and there are three variants to choose from. A standard model starts at $42,900, making it the cheapest model. This car can have 272 miles of range (EPA), 140 mph at top speed, and 0-60 mph in 5.8 seconds.

With this model, there is only one rear-wheel-drive motor. Upon lifting the sales cap in January, the revised EV tax credit will be available only to the Model 3.

2024 Tesla Model S Prices, Reviews, and Best Features

Starting at $57,990, the Long Range Model 3 can deliver 334 miles of range, 145 mph top speeds, and a 0-60 time of 4.2 seconds. In any case, sales for this model were suspended, and they will not be available for purchase until at least 2023. No word is yet on whether its price will be lowered when it returns.

Despite having a reduced range of 315 miles, the Performance Model 3 boasts a top speed of 162 mph and a 0-60 time of 3.1 seconds. Both of these models are equipped with four-wheel drive-through dual electric motors.

What’s New For 2024?

Model 3 is receiving a much-needed refresh after being around since 2017. The modified exterior styling of the Model 3 makes it look sleeker. The car’s interior has been improved to include an 8-inch touchscreen for the rear passengers, air-conditioned front seats, ambient interior lighting, and a 17-speaker audio system. A performance version of the Model 3 is available with more power and enhanced features aimed at drivers.

Additionally, Tesla says more noise-reducing measures have been added, along with improvements to fit and finish. Here are what’s surprise Tesla Model 3 holds for the 2024 version:

Power, Ride, And Handling

An all-wheel-drive system coupled with dual motors provides 394 horsepower in the 2024 Model 3. According to Tesla, the time from standstill to 60 mph is 4.2 seconds.

Tesla’s quick acceleration is one of its calling cards, a feature once reserved for expensive performance cars. No matter whether the car is electric or not, we love the kind of performance we can get in a practical, everyday car. However, a Hyundai Ioniq 6 Long Range all-wheel-drive variant rated at 320 horsepower is only tenths of a second slower.

By placing the battery on the floor, the center of gravity is lowered, resulting in increased stability. With the Model 3, a set of fast turns can be performed swiftly and calmly. Despite being taut, the suspension remains comfortable. It’s great to customize driving responses like steering, braking, and acceleration according to a driver’s preferences.

Sparse Interior

The Model 3 has too few switches and knobs due to its large touchscreen – perhaps too few. There is little to no space on the dashboard aside from the 15.4-inch display. Through this screen, the air vents can even be directed.

The 2024 update adds a new multi-color ambient lighting feature and textile materials to enhance the Model 3’s modern, upmarket appearance. The Model 3’s all-glass roof gives the cabin an airy, open feel and provides an excellent view outward. Additionally, Tesla claims its cabin is quieter this year owing to more acoustic glass and stronger noise insulation.

Sleeker Exterior

It’s undeniable that the Model 3 is a Tesla, with its sleek and aerodynamic design. In addition to new front and rear fascias, new headlights, and updated taillights, two new paint colors are available for the 2024 model.

There have been some problems with the build quality of earlier Model 3 models. There have been reports of paint runs, panel gaps that are misaligned, and even doors that don’t work reliably. Most modern cars do not suffer from these faults. This updated 2024 Model 3 is claimed to have a better fit and finish, but we recommend that you inspect it thoroughly before buying.

Battery and Efficiency

The 341-mile maximum range of the Tesla Model 3 Long Range configuration is impressive. There is a 272-mile range on the single-motor model and a 296-mile range on the Performance model. A dual-motor/all-wheel drive Hyundai Ioniq 6 achieves 316 miles with rear-wheel drive, but only when fitted with rear-wheel drive.

Range anxiety is greatly eased by Tesla’s established Supercharger network. It is claimed that the Tesla Supercharger can extend a vehicle’s range by up to 175 miles in about 15 minutes. Ioniq 6’s DC high-current capabilities allow it to charge equally quickly.
4-Year/50,000-Mile Warranty

Model 3 Variant0-60 mph TimeEPA Range
Standard Range Plus5.3 seconds263 miles
Long Range4.2 seconds353 miles
Performance3.1 seconds315 miles

It is Tesla’s standard practice to offer a four-year or 50,000-mile warranty on new cars. The luxury car industry is accustomed to this type of arrangement. There is an eight-year warranty on the battery and drive unit of the rear-drive Model 3. A warranty of eight years or 120,000 miles is provided on the Long Range and Performance versions of the battery and drive unit.

Storage

It’s surprising how much space the Model 3’s trunk has. Besides the trunk, the cargo area behind the rear seat has a surprisingly deep well under the trunk floor. As well as folding nearly flat, the rear seats have a large opening between them. In addition to its useable 3.1 cubic feet of trunk space, the Model 3 offers 24.1 cubic feet of total space.

Several small items can be stored in the generous storage space. Two cupholders are ahead of a deep compartment, and a decent-sized armrest is in the center console. A felt-like material lining the door pockets reduces rattling sounds caused by stored items, and they can hold water bottles, too.

Value

The Tesla Model 3 successfully bridges the luxury-affordability gap for EVs. The interior of our test car was nicely appointed and solidly built. While previous Model 3 models lagged behind high-end competitors in interior design, the most recent model has shown a noticeable improvement in quality and aesthetics. The pricing is also attractive. A competing EV won’t be more valuable, especially without self-driving capabilities.

Model 3 used to have various charging cord options, but now only an adapter connects it to non-Tesla chargers.

Autopilot

All Tesla cars are equipped with the Basic Autopilot, Tesla’s breakthrough feature. Unfortunately, this Model 3 is not equipped with the $12,000 Full Self-Driving option.

Using Autopilot on big roads can be a lot of fun but also relieves stress. To take control of the vehicle, pull the right-hand steering wheel lever down twice, assuming there are solid lane markers in front of you.

Although Autopilot sensors can be seen before turning on, Model 3 displays what Autopilot can see, such as cars, trucks, traffic signals, and trash cans.

Tesla Model 3 supports both steering and acceleration, which means it stays within its lane, turns, remains at a constant speed, and adjusts its distance from the car in front to ensure safety.

Drive

As with most electric cars, the Tesla Model 3 doesn’t surprise you if you’ve driven one before. Driving the vehicle is very similar to driving other electric vehicles, although with more power, range, and technology.

If you haven’t driven an electric vehicle before, it will be quite a thrill to drive around in a Tesla. When you drive a vehicle powered by controlled explosions, the vehicle is almost silent. While driving an automatic is similar to driving a manual, it’s a whole new experience. Tesla Model 3 rides smoothly and comfortably as a luxury car.

Conclusion

Tesla Model 3 is beautiful, proving electric vehicles are more reliable than gasoline-powered ones. Tesla doesn’t exaggerate when it says this thing can go a long way on a single charge, and the ride is smooth and comfortable.
